Dr. Carthen as A Servant….

Carthen said he has overcome his own “very disadvantaged situation” to master business and management concepts so he can provide others with personal and leadership development tools to be successful.

“I am someone just trying to live out my purpose on a daily basis,” he said in a video message. “When I can do that by helping someone else achieve their goals, then I feel fulfilled.”

He is founder and president of The Leaders of Tomorrow Initiative, a non-profit organization that teaches children from low-income households to become future leaders. Carthen also initiated and created the curriculum for the T.I.E.S. that Bind Leadership & Mentoring Program which aims to increase reading skills, school engagement and leadership potential among high school and college students.
