Overcome Your Uncertainty
In order to excel in life and in business, one must overcome uncertainty and take hold of self-doubt to remain hopeful of positive outcomes. Uncertainty can stop a sales deal from taking place; it can cause a company to miss an opportunity, or it can ruin a person’s career. I share this personal insight because uncertainty is not often discussed in business, but those who are willing to take risks and follow their instincts typically experience success.
Without a Goal, Uncertainty Can Creep In
When I was lining up against some of the greatest offensive tackles in the NFL, one thing that I could not afford was…uncertainty. I was fully confident in the coming battle with my opponent because of the goals & strategy that I had in place. You see, without a goal or strategy, uncertainty can creep in…you may not even recognize it at first, but slowly, it will suck the very life out of your efforts because you will already be defeated before you engage the task at hand.
Leaders Can Draw The Best Possible Strategy
Leaders are responsible for charting a clear path and illuminating the best possible strategy to make it to their respective goals when obstacles are encountered. Today, do a self-assessment as a leader, a follower, or one who supports those in leadership to determine if you have done all that you can to insure that your team is ready to move forward with clarity and confidence.
