You must develop “Poise” while waiting on the “Promise” in order to see your dreams come to pass!
Bloom Right Where You are Planted
During a recent conversation with a young professional who was struggling with the idea of a potential career change because they just couldn’t seem to gain traction in their current job, I was reminded of just how important it is not to move too quickly when you encounter difficulties. In fact, when it seems like chaos is all around you & dreams are yet to be fulfilled, this is your time for poise.
Poise can be uncomfortable when you want to scream from the rooftops that something is not fair, or when you are experiencing pain or in the case of the young professional, you are not advancing fast enough. However, the one thing that we must remember is that without poise, the situation can be made worse in the long run.
Poise Will Reveal the Way
As a leader, no amount of worry or knee jerk reactions will bring you any closer to reaching your objectives. Instead, stay focused on your plan & the promise will be fulfilled in due time.
